Jack Warren was born in Bath, UK in 1997. He graduated from Cardiff University in 2018 with a BSc in Chemistry studying strontium incorporation in magnetite.
The following year he completed a MSc in Catalysis. He then stayed at Cardiff to start his PhD with Prof. D. Bonifazi, Dr. A. Logsdail and Dr. A. Roldan Martinez.
His project is concerned with researching Boron-Nitrogen doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and nanographene’s computationally using the FHI-Aims code in a Python environment. The main goals for this are to develop rules for BN doping and study these systems suitability for molecular sensing and 2D recognition.
